Lamine Yamal made Pau Cubarsi CRY in training once

Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi share one of the strongest bromances at Barcelona these days.

Having risen through the La Masia ranks together, both are now first starters in the senior team. But their bond wasn’t always smooth sailing.

On a recent episode of the Bar Canaletes podcast, it was revealed that Lamine once reduced Cubarsi to tears during a U-15 training session.

The winger’s pace and technique were so overwhelming that Cubarsi couldn’t hold back his tears in front of their peers.

The coach had a word with Pau, reassuring him not to worry. He said, “Lamine Yamal is going to be a player everyone talks about in the future. You should be proud just to be on the same team as him.”

And he was right about that!
