The latest NBA feud belongs to ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins and Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.

Ahead of Game 1 of the 2024 NBA Finals between the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics, James spoke highly of his former teammate, Kyrie Irving. He admitted he wishes he still played with the talented veteran guard.

Perkins later called James out for his comments, blasting the NBA superstar for making the NBA Finals all about himself, despite the fact he’s watching the title series from the comfort of his own home.

Shortly after Perkins’ comments, James unfollowed the major ESPN personality on all major social media platforms. Perkins has since issued a response, and it’s a strange one.

“’Everybody didn’t follow Jesus, I’ll be ok,’” Perkins said on X.

Yes, Kendrick Perkins just compared himself to Jesus Christ. That’s where this feud has gone.

Fans are puzzled by Perkins’ comment.
