Karim Benzema or Kylian Mbappe? Cristiano Ronaldo picks favorite between the 2 France superstars

Cristiano Ronaldo has picked his favorite between Frenchmen Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappe. During a recently released episode on his YouTube channel, the Portuguese superstar had a quick challenge with his former Manchester United teammate Rio Ferdinand.

He had to pick between any two players, starting with their teammates at Old Trafford – Gary Neville and Paul Scholes. Ronaldo quickly picked Scholes, eventually dropping the legendary midfielder for David Beckham. He then picked Ryan Giggs over Beckham and chose the former Wales international over Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Marcelo, Xabi Alonso, and Toni Kroos.

He eventually dropped Giggs when he had to choose between the Welshman and his long-time teammate at Real Madrid Karim Benzema. Ferdinand then had Ronaldo choose his favorite between Benzema and Kylian Mbappe.

It seemed a no-brainer decision for Ronaldo, as he immediately picked Mbappe, who joined Real Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer. However, when choosing between Mbappe and the host Rio Ferdinand, Cristiano Ronaldo opted to go with his former United teammate.

When Kylian Mbappe spoke about his friendship with Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappe are well over a decade apart in age, with the Frenchman 25 and the Portuguese 39.

Ronaldo has left the shores of Europe, choosing to continue his career in Saudi Arabia with Al-Nassr. Mbappe, on the other hand, has only just joined Real Madrid on a free transfer after concluding his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

The French forward was presented to around 85,000 Madridistas at the Santiago Bernabeu, where he greeted them with Ronaldo’s salutation: “Uno, dos, tres, Hala Madrid!”

Speaking after the presentation, which took place in mid-July, he claimed that he had paid homage to the legendary Portugal striker, who was his friend. Kylian Mbappe said (via GOAL):

“Ending the presentation with ‘Un, dos, tres, Hala Madrid’ was a nod to Cristiano Ronaldo. He is a friend who has made history at this club. He has always given me advice on the game and on the ability to stay connected to your passion.”

Ronaldo made history by becoming Real Madrid’s all-time top goalscorer with 450 goals in 438 games. Mbappe, meanwhile, has scored three goals in his first five matches for Los Blancos.
