The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the most popular teams in the NFL right now. Of course, the fact that they have won two consecutive Super Bowls may have something to do with that. However, another large part in their popularity is the fact that their Pro Bowl tight end, Travis Kelce, is dating 14-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift.

When the couple made their relationship public in September of 2023, it brought a whole new demographic of fans (Swifties) to the NFL. Obviously, the team that these fans chose to follow was the team that Swift cheers for: the Chiefs.

It has been hard not to keep up to date with their relationship as Swift’s status as a global superstar means that their movements are documented by press and paparazzi alike.

Currently, Swift is performing in Europe on another leg of her Eras Tour, and Kelce has tagged along for a few days before his own schedule gets busy again with other professional commitments.

Swift’s tour is currently in Paris, France where she is performing several nights worth of shows. A recent photo of her in one of her costumes has gone viral on social media because, well, it is clearly inspired by the Chiefs’ uniform colors:

Swift’s music is known to be highly personal to her, so it is no surprise that she has coordinated her costumes for her concerts to mirror what her songs are about.

The song “So High School” is about Kelce and their relationship.

Many wondered, during the season, if Kelce teammates on the Chiefs would have found Swift’s presence at their games to be a distraction. In short, they did not.

Head coach Andy Reid summed up the team’s feelings when he said:

“My feeling is, if Trav[is] is happy and she is happy…that’s the most important thing. The rest is easy. She handles herself. She’s a fan and enjoys watching the team play. It’s an escape from her where she doesn’t have all the spotlight on her.

Her dad is an Eagles fan, so I got to know him back in Philadelphia when she was just starting off…She’s the most famous woman in the world. To bring that to the National Football League, think of all the young ladies that now have the opportunity who are now learning the game. That’s a positive for the NFL.”

Hopefully Chiefs (and NFL fans in general) are not tired of seeing Swift at Chiefs games because it appears she is not going away.
