Joan Laporta reportedly didn’t greet Xavi at Andres Iniesta’s farewell ceremony
Joan Laporta didn’t greet Xavi during Andres Iniesta’s farewell ceremony dedicated to his retirement, reports Diario AS’ Javier Miguel.
It was explained that the two arrived at the place at a different time and that there was a big distance between their seats. It was also noted that both were in a hurry for scheduling reasons.
Xavi also didn’t meet Hans-Dieter Flick, Deco and Bojan who are part of Barcelona’s current sports management.
It is supposed by many that Laporta’s relationship with Xavi was broken after the latter’s controversial sacking. The president has often hinted he likes Flick much more as the German is ‘ready to work with limited resources’ and ‘doesn’t look for excuses’.
