Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck tied the knot in 2022 in Las Vegas in a whirlwind ceremony, which the couple has said was a spur-of-the-moment decision. Recently, the couple has been plagued by rumors that they have now separated and their marriage has come to an end.

JLo was out in Mexico City promoting her new movie, Atlas with co-star Simu Liu.

As she sat on stage, a room full of reporters asked her questions. A video of one question left everyone shocked.

A reporter as the 54-year-old whether her rumored split with Affleck was true. A man off-camera, presumably from the movie’s PR team, immediately reprimanded the question by saying, “OK, we’re not doing that.”

“You know better than that,” added Lopez. She might have been pointing out that during promotional events, celebrities are usually not asked questions about their personal lives, especially sensitive ones like this one. Lopez was also wearing her wedding ring at the event in question.

However, sources close to the couple have been claiming marital discord. One source said the couple has “had their ups and downs” since they exchanged vows.

“They have gone through phases where things haven’t been as great between them due to their different personalities and not getting enough time together,” the source shared. “They’re not always on the same page. They both have so much going on between taking care of their families and their work commitments, and it can be a lot for them.”

Earlier this month, Lopez and Affleck were seen together and photographed as well. Affleck was seen without his wedding ring.

“Jen and Ben’s relationship is not over yet, but they have been staying in separate homes and the tension has been high,” another source shared. “They are taking a second to figure out what each of them is going through and wants. Both of them have been very down.”

However, Lopez spoke to the media at the premiere of the Brad Peyton-directed Atlas she is starring in. She touched upon the importance of family, which for her also includes her three stepchildren.

“One thing you can always trust in [is] family,” Lopez said with a smile.

However, people are still speculating that the couple has split up. Another source shared, “Ben feels like Jen has a hard time feeling satisfied, and that’s one of the issues they’re facing. Ben is one of the only people who feels comfortable enough to be honest and real with Jen. It’s part of why Jen loves him, but also why she’s upset with him.”

“She tries to play it off like she doesn’t care what the public thinks about her, but she loves her fans so much, so their feedback does impact her,” the source went on. “Ben and Jen are going through normal problems, and nothing scandalous is going on.”
