Fans noticed growing tension between the pair when Affleck did not accompany Lopez to the Met Gala on May 6, despite her significant role as co-chair of the event. Although his official reason for missing the gala was due to filming commitments for “The Accountant 2,” sources allege Affleck had decided to end his marriage to the pop icon.

The source disclosed, “Ben is focusing on his work and his kids now. He reportedly already moved out, and they’ll likely have to sell the dream house they spent two years searching for. They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her. There’s no way it could have lasted.”

A significant issue in their relationship was their different approaches to media attention. While Lopez thrives in the spotlight, Affleck prefers to keep a low profile.
