Legal woes: Jennifer Lopez has been sued by a group in Morocco after a racy concert on May 29 was televised

According to the lawsuit, Jennifer ‘disturbed public order and tarnished women’s honor and respect.’

Both the singer and the concert promoter have been named in the lawsuit, which could result in a prison term of up to two years.

While the government has not gotten directly involved in the lawsuit, Morocco’s Minister of Communication did object to the televised performance.

‘What was broadcast is unacceptable and goes against broadcasting law,’ Minister Mustapha Khalfi wrote on Twitter on May 30.

Jennifer’s May 29 performance was one of many occurring during the 10-day festival, which also featured Pharrell, Maroon 5, Sting, Usher, and Akon.

More than 160,000 people attended the renowned music celebration in the capital city of Rabat.

The Moroccan lawsuit is not likely to slow down Jennifer, who recently announced an upcoming residency in Las Vegas.

The singer and actress has also begun production for her upcoming NBC cop drama, Shades Of Blue.

On the show, Jennifer stars as Detective Harlee Santos, an otherwise honourable police officer who gets entangled in a ‘tight-knit group of dirty cops.’

Other priorities: Instead of worrying about lawsuits, J.Lo has begun production on her upcoming TV drama, Shades Of Blue

Expected to air in the winter of 2016, Shades Of Blue does not yet have a release date.

Another acting gig, however, will hit theatres long before the television show – Jennifer co-stars with Viola Davis in the feature film, Lila And Eve.

In the movie premiering on July 17, the two women seek vigilante justice following the murders of their children.

Keeping busy: Another season of American Idol, a feature film out in July, and a Las Vegas residency are also in store for Jennifer
