‘I’m happier with him’: Nico Williams looking forward to Lamine Yamal reunion
Athletic Club’s Nico Williams has expressed his eagerness to reunite with Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal on the international stage, describing their relationship as “brotherly.”
Speaking ahead of Athletic Club’s Sunday match against Girona, Williams praised his Spain teammate: “We get along very well, like a cat and a dog, like little brothers.”
He added, “I wish him all the best. I am happier in the national team if he is there.”
The duo’s on-field chemistry was on full display during this summer’s European Championship, leaving fans excited for their future partnerships.
Williams jokingly remarked, “Every father wants to see his son,” when asked about linking up with Yamal again for Spain’s upcoming games against Denmark and Serbia.
