Gavi poised to imminently join Barca training as ‘very important’ part of injury recovery

As per Mundo Deportivo, Hansi Flick has demanded Gavi to join Barcelona’s first-team training on Thursday (September 12).

That doesn’t mean he’s going to immediately return to action, but is deemed a ‘very important part’ of his injury recovery process.

Gavi is expected to start playng matches for Barca either in October or potentially November depending on how he trains with the group.

The 20-year-old midfielder is one of the leaders in the dressing room and Flick wants his positive energy levels within the Barca squad again.

Gavi has been training at a faster pace in his individual training programmes in recent months and has, fortunately, not suffered any set-back in his recovery.

The 20-year-old has not played any competitive match since November 2023 when he picked up his ACL injury.
