“Never let him start a UCL game again”, “Nowhere near Yamal” – Fans slam Real Madrid star after Lille loss
Real Madrid fans have criticized Endrick on X after he struggled to make an impact in their 1-0 loss to Lille. The two sides faced each other in the UEFA Champions League at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Wednesday, October 2.
Endrick had a massive opportunity to break the deadlock in the 19th minute but was denied by a great save after he had made a darting run across the pitch. The hosts looked promising and were awarded a penalty after Eduardo Camavinga was deemed to have handled the ball. Jonathan David scored from the spot (45+2′) to give Lille the lead.
Endrick was handed his first start for Real Madrid, pairing up with Vinicius Junior to spearhead the attack. Many fans expected the Brazilian to make an impact after he scored two goals and provided one assist in eight appearances across competitions – despite playing just 50 minutes in total.
Unfortunately, the 18-year-old was subbed off in the 57th minute, garnering a rating of just 5.8, as per FotMob. He created zero chances, missed one big chance, and lost five duels.
One Real Madrid fan posted:
“Wtf is endrick doing? Never let him start a UCL game again.”
Another fan tweeted:
“Endrick is no where near Yamalâs level I donât want to hear that conversation again.”
