Fan shares two main concerns about Hansi Flick’s football – he had these same issues in every team he coached

Barca are off to a fantastic start in La Liga under Hansi Flick, winning five games our of five and playing beautiful football. However, some fans still have serious concerns about the new head coach.

Reddit user named Powerful-Ad-6027 shared his concerns on Barcelona subreddit:

“We’re going through a wonderful moment. Hansi Flick’s football is mesmerizing and has exceeded expectations, but I had two major concerns before his appointment, and they still remain.

“The first is fitness. Flick’s high-pressing, high-octane style suffocates opponents, but can Barca maintain it long-term? Flick’s second season at Bayern was plagued with injuries, and we saw Xavi’s team struggle to maintain similar intensity. Flick’s focusing on strength training, but the question of sustainability remains.

“The second is defensive structure. Flick uses an ultra-high line, relying on winning the ball back, an offside trap, or individual brilliance. While we’ve done well, this isn’t reliable against top teams who may break the press or beat the offside trap. Unlike Xavi’s Barca, which had a solid defensive structure, we’re vulnerable without Gavi and Araujo. With big games against Real Madrid and Bayern coming up, will Flick adjust or hope for perfection?”
