Eminem Reaches A New Career Peak On One Billboard Chart

Eminem’s catalog is surging in popularity at the moment, thanks to the release of his new single. As “Houdini” scores a lofty debut on a number of Billboard charts, fans didn’t stick with just that one tune. The American public listened to many of the rapper’s biggest hits, and all that activity has helped him reach a new career peak on one tally.

Curtain Call: The Hits leaps up the Top Streaming Albums chart this week, spurred on by renewed interest in the hip-hop star. The compilation lifts from No. 43 to No. 19 on Billboard’s ranking of the most-streamed full-lengths in the country.

No. 19 now stands as the highest placement ever for Curtain Call. It’s also the loftiest spot that Eminem has reached in his career.

So far, Curtain Call is the only title that Eminem has sent to the Top Streaming Albums chart. The tally was introduced by Billboard less than a year ago, so it’s not odd that more of his projects haven’t reached the list.

Curtain Call is succeeding on every chart it appears on this week. The set is on the rise on four tallies, including the Top Streaming Albums list.

Eminem’s first greatest hits collection breaks back into the top 10 on two Billboard rankings. Curtain Call jumps from No. 12 to No. 4 on the Top Rap Albums chart. It experiences a similar lift on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums tally, where it climbs from No. 14 to No. 5.

Over on the Billboard 200, Curtain Call returns to the top 40. Eminem’s bestselling compilation shoots from No. 48 to No. 26. It has now spent 687 frames somewhere on the most competitive ranking of the most-consumed albums in the U.S., and it stands as one of the longest-charting releases in U.S. history.

In the past tracking week, Curtain Call moved just under 22,700 equivalent units. According to Luminate, that number is up by more than 33% from the frame prior. That’s a massive gain for a decade-plus-old project, and it says a lot about how popular Eminem and his biggest singles still are to this day.
