Frenkie De Jong likely to leave Barca at end of season — reports

The contract negotiations with Frenkie de Jong have reportedly reached a dead end. The Dutchman is now expected to be sold to the highest bidder in the summer.

The midfielder is not the only Barcelona player whose contract expires in 2026 – in less than two years from now.

Andreas Christensen, Eric Garcia, Ronald Araujo, Inaki Pena, Pedri and Gavi all have their deals running out in 2026 – and negotiations over their next contracts should start as soon as possible.

Lamine Yamal’s deal is also up in 2026 but he has already committed to an extension which would be made official when he turns 18.
