Clear date Yamal vs Messi in Finalissima
Reliable sources say that the Intercontinental Super Cup (Finalissima) is expected to take place in 2026.
Recently, according to a report from journalist Gaston Edul, the Intercontinental Super Cup ( Finalissima ) match between Argentina and Spain is expected to take place in March 2026. However, there has been no official announcement about the country and location hosting this match, thereby increasing the anticipation for a top-notch match.

As usual, the Finalissima match will take place a year after the two names are determined, however, due to the tight competition schedules of Argentina and Spain, the two teams may not be able to arrange this match, and will have to move it to early 2026, close to the World Cup of the same year.
This was confirmed by Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni when he said that it was very difficult for the match to take place in 2025. The 46-year-old strategist shared: “For now, I don’t know if the match will take place or not. Next year will definitely be difficult, because from what I know about the schedule, especially Spain, they have World Cup qualifiers until November. I don’t see the feasibility of organizing the match next year.”

Scaloni, meanwhile, has tried to downplay expectations for the Finalissima and insisted it is not a priority for La Albiceleste at the moment.
“We’ll see if we can find a space in the schedule, because in cases like this sometimes they put the game between two other games, but I don’t think that’s possible. It’s very far away, and I ‘m not concerned about that. I just have that information and we’ll see what happens,” he added.
In the Finalissima match taking place in 2022, Argentina, as the 2021 Copa America champion, easily defeated Italy, the 2020 Euro champion, with a score of 3-0, thereby lifting this noble title for the second time in history.

If the upcoming Finalissima match takes place, fans expect a confrontation between rising star Lamine Yamal and idol Lionel Messi in two different jerseys, and promises to bring a top performance and dedication.
