Barcelona set to officially announce Marc Bernal’s new deal; Man United and Newcastle were interested
Barcelona are going to announce Marc Bernal’s new deal this week, according to ESPN’s Moi Llorens.

Manchester United and Newcastle United were interested in triggering the Spaniard’s €20m release clause, but the player will stay at Barca.
The 17-year-old’s current deal with Blaugrana expires in 2026. He’s going to extend the contract until 2029.
Bernal suffered a season-ending injury earlier this season. The defensive midfielder was initially planned as Hans-Dieter Flick’s starter this campaign.
