50 Cent just won’t let the informant rumors surrounding Jim Jones die down. Once again, he’s back with fresh receipts, putting Jim right in the hot seat. If you’ve been keeping up with the streets and the blogs, you know that Jim has been trying to shake off these snitching allegations for a while now.
It all started when Jim’s name was dragged into the Tekashi 6ix9ine trial. A wiretap recording was leaked, making it sound like Jim was plotting against 6ix9ine. However, when the feds cracked down on the Nine Trey Bloods, Jim somehow walked away without facing any charges. Naturally, people started questioning—how could Jim be caught on tape discussing gang business but never face consequences?

Fast forward to today, and the tension between Dipset OGs, Cam’ron and Jim Jones, is heating up again. They’re already throwing shots at each other online, and just when things couldn’t get worse for Jim, 50 Cent steps in with even more receipts. He’s now claiming that Jim has been a federal informant for years.
The beef between these hip-hop heavyweights goes way back. Recently, Cam’ron had 50 Cent on his podcast, where they revisited past conflicts. Cam reminded 50 about a 2007 incident when Dipset was beefing with G-Unit, and Jim Jones appeared at one of 50’s shows. 50 revealed that at the time, Jim wasn’t much of a rapper but was rolling with Dipset, watching what G-Unit was doing and wanting to be a part of it.
Cam took the opportunity to poke at Jim, saying, “We like Jimmy better than you anyway.” Jim didn’t back down and took the bait, proving he was ready for any challenge. Later, he explained his actions, saying he wasn’t going to let rap politics interfere with his hustle. Jim made it clear that his focus was always on securing his future, not on unnecessary beefs.
Now, back to the main controversy—Jim’s alleged cooperation with the feds. The rumors first gained traction when Jim’s name came up during the Tekashi 6ix9ine trial. The feds played a wiretap recording of a conversation between Jim Jones and Mel Murda, another Nine Trey member. In that conversation, Jim allegedly said Tekashi needed to be “violated,” which many took as a call for retaliation against the rapper for distancing himself from the gang.
Despite this, Jim was never charged, leading to speculation that he might be working with law enforcement. Wack 100, a well-known industry figure, has been one of the most vocal in pushing this narrative. Wack accused Jim of being a federal informant, arguing that the only reason Jim wasn’t arrested was because he was cooperating with the authorities. He even challenged Jim to prove otherwise.
Jim clapped back, denying the accusations and calling Wack a liar. He insisted that he’s been running with the same crew for years, long before Wack knew him. However, the lingering question remains—how did Jim avoid charges while others, including high-ranking Nine Trey members, were taken down?
Just when it seemed like the rumors were cooling down, 50 Cent reignited the fire. He posted an Instagram photo of Jim Jones standing next to Jay-Z, Diddy, and Fat Joe with the caption: “LOL Individual One calling the shots here. I know you working, so please don’t say gangsta sh*t to me, Individual One.”
The “Individual One” reference is a direct nod to the federal informant rumors surrounding Jim. To make matters worse, 50 also shared the transcript of the wiretap call from the 6ix9ine case, further fueling the speculation that Jim has been cooperating with the feds for years.
Tekashi 6ix9ine’s case exposed a lot of internal conflicts within the Nine Trey Bloods. After being arrested on federal racketeering and firearms charges, 6ix9ine flipped and became a government witness, testifying against his former gang members in exchange for a lighter sentence.
His testimony led to the conviction of multiple Nine Trey members, yet Jim Jones, who was caught on wiretap discussing gang business, faced no legal repercussions. Many in the hip-hop community found this suspicious, questioning whether Jim had some kind of deal with the feds.
Jim has repeatedly denied the snitching allegations, but he has never provided a clear explanation for why he wasn’t charged despite the evidence against him. Instead, he’s chosen to downplay the situation. When 50 Cent posted the “Individual One” reference, Jim responded with an Instagram post of his own, lounging by a pool with the caption: “Why you keep lying? LOL I’m going back to sleep. Free Mel Matrix till it’s reversed.”
