Spanish NT midfielder Merino demands consistency from Lamine Yamal
Lamine Yamal has travelled to link up with his teammates at the Spain national team ahead of the Nations League game.
Ahead of the games, Spain midfielder Mikel Merino spoke about Lamine’s need to maintain his consistency after a devastating start to the season.
“Lamine is an ever-smiling 17-year-old young man, and that is part of his charm,” Merino told a press conference.
“He is a unique talent in the world and he is showing it to us. I hope he manages to maintain this level [of consistency] always.
“There may be low moments in the future and you have to understand that in a race there are better and worse moments,” Merino warned.
Lamine hasn’t scored or given an assist in his last two games for Barca in all competitions. It’s probably why he’s been unhappy when being subbed off in those games.

However, all that takes nothing away from what Lamine has achieved this season. The teenager has bagged five goals and as many assists in his first 10 games.
