‘I’m worried’: Madrid legend Guti criticizes Carlo Ancelotti’s tactics this season

Real Madrid legend Guti is not best pleased with the tactics he’s seeing from Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti this season.

“I’m worried about Real Madrid’s game. The focus is too much on Mbappe because there were a lot of expectations on him, the bar was very high,” Guti said in an interview.

“Now, Real Madrid’s entire game is summed up on whether or not Mbappe is playing well.

“I think Mbappe is in a team who are not playing well. If the team is not playing well it is very difficult for a player alone to do things well. This is reality.

“Ancelotti’s tactics? I don’t understand it. There has only been one change, which was Mbappé for Kroos and the team doesn’t work. That’s the reality, the reality is that the team doesn’t work.

“They get the games because there is so much quality at the top that, in the end, in small details, Real Madrid wins games, but the games have not been good,” Guti adds.

Guti still believes Real Madrid have the best squad they’ve had since the Galacticos. Los Blancos have won 8 of their first 12 games of the season, drawing three and losing one.
