Caitlin Clark’s Teammate Sophie Cunningham Is Getting Blasting For Her ‘Unprofessional’ See-Through Pregame Outfit That You Wouldn’t Want Your Children To See

Ahead of the 2025 WNBA season, the Indiana Fever made a number of big offseason moves including a trade for veteran guard Sophie Cunningham.

She’s quickly become a fan favorite thanks to her charisma off the court – like offering up nicknames for Caitlin Clark, the Fever’s star. Cunningham previously compared the Fever point guard to Eras Tour singer Taylor Swift. “I will be her Sabrina Carpenter any day to her Taylor Swift,” she said after being traded to the Fever this offseason.

Cunningham wasn’t quite done giving Clark new nicknames, though. On Thursday, May 22 the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year earned the nickname “Inspector Gadget” from the Fever guard thanks to her outfit.

Just a few days later, Cunningham posted a video showing off her outfit from ahead of that game in a new video on TikTok. “not sure these lyrics are accurate but we will take it,” she joked in the post.

Fans couldn’t get enough of the new post – or her nickname for Clark.

“Inspector gadget 🤣🤣🤣🤣🔥🔥,” one fan said.

“Spicy Sophie is the bomb. I’ve been laughing for two or three days about the comment to Caitlin about inspector gadget,” added another.

“Never stop being you Sophie. You coming into the game yesterday shifted the energy with your hustle,” offered a third.

Cunningham missed the first two games of the season after revealing she was dealing with a broken ankle. In two games since, she’s amassed 14 points, nine rebounds and three assists in 40 total minutes.

She and the Fever will be back out on the court on May 28 for a game against the Washington Mystics.
