Unfortunately, even a handsome man like Cavill, who has been named as World’s Sexiest Man, got his heart broken after his ex-girlfriend said some painful things to him.

The actor has been dating Natalie Viscuso since 2021, but things haven’t always been in his favor. Before Viscuso, Cavill got into many relationships but it didn’t seem to work. Cavill’s time as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher TV series and Superman in Zack Snyder’s DC movies made him a household name around the world but with those two roles out of the way, the actor prepares for other projects.

In 2016, actor Henry Cavill appeared for an interview with Elle magazine and was asked to reveal the most painful thing a woman has ever said to him. The actor recalled the time he and his ex-girlfriend hit a rough patch,

“In a rocky patch with a girlfriend, she asked me to go away to see a friend. I was supposed to be gone for a week. Then she said, ‘Stay away another week.’ My head was pretty wrecked. When you give your all to something and you’re hitting a wall, it just feels so wrong. It felt like school again in the sense that, What am I doing wrong? It’s that feeling of hopelessness, I guess.”

Even the Last Son of Krypton struggles to maintain his relationships. Thankfully, Cavill didn’t let these painful words get to him and today, he is in a happy relationship with Natalie Viscuso.

In the interview, Cavill was asked how differentiated between a girl who’s interested in Henry Cavill and one who just wants to sleep with Superman. The actor explained,

“One, you never know. Two, if you’re just looking for a shag, does it really matter? And three, are they really different things? I think I have some similar traits or ideology to the character.”

Cavill played the role of Superman in Man of Steel (2013), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Justice League (2017), and Zack Snyder’s Justice League. He also had uncredited cameos in Black Adam (2022) and The Flash (2023). It’s safe to say his run as the character has officially ended as co-CEO of DC Studios, James Gunn, prepares to introduce the fans to a new actor who will play the beloved character in his 2025 movie, Superman: Legacy.
