Brady took a shot at the Swifties, who have become fans of football after she began dating Travis Kelce.

The roast of Tom Brady quickly became an event as entertaining as a Sunday Night Football game. With former teammates Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, and former HC Bill Belichick, all taking a shot at Brady, it certainly lived up to the hype. Nobody was safe throughout the night, and a lot of franchises and players that were not present ended up catching wild strays from the man of the hour.
When it was Tom Brady‘s turn to do the roasting, the quarterback did not forget to call the Kansas City Chiefs out, a franchise that has become a dynasty similar to the New England Patriots back in the day.
This season, the hype around the Chiefs has been focused on the budding relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. The pop star became a familiar face at the team’s games as she was present to support her beau week after week.
As a result, the NFL recorded a huge influx of fans and a surge in viewership, the Taylor Swift effect, as it is believed, has resulted in millions of her fans showing interest in football. Tom Brady kept that in mind.
Brady alluded to the fact that the majority of Swift’s fans fall under the 14 to 16-year-old girls category. And they can scream loudly, which is why Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Chiefs, can qualify as being one of the more louder stadiums in the NFL,
He took things a step further and put the fans of the team in their place by reminding them of their painful past without any Super Bowl wins. Before 2020, the last time the Chiefs won a Super Bowl was in 1970, so they were pretty bad for five decades. But now, the team is at the top and killing it, but Brady made sure they didn’t forget how bad they were.
The final nail in the coffin was his reference to Taylor Swift‘s popular Eras Tour and her hit song Shake it Off! The seven-time Super Bowl established one thing: he can time and deliver jokes as well as passes to perfection.
The Greatest Roast of All Time ended up being a hit just as Netflix had envisioned it to be. The star-studded audience and fans streaming it live from around the world had a field time watching Brady face pressure but not from defensive linemen but from some of his closest friends this time.
