– The heartbreaking reason why Nicole Kidman is determined to reconcile with her two adopted children with Tom Cruise has been revealed.

The Australian Swan has been devastated by the sudden death of her mother, Janelle, in September. Nicole Kidman was devastated that her late mother never got to see the two adopted children she shared with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

A family friend told New Idea magazine: “‘Losing her mother has left Nicole not wanting to waste any more time. Janelle is heartbroken that she and her husband Antony have been separated from Isabella and Connor.’

“They were their first two grandchildren and they were very close. It’s a shame the kids didn’t get to see her before she died,” the source added, saying that the regret has “increased the need for reconciliation”.

Before their divorce, Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise adopted Isabella (now 31) and Connor (now 29) in the early 90s, but after their split in 2001, the two children sided with their father and have not appeared in public with Nicole since 2007. According to local media, Nicole’s beloved mother passed away in September, just hours before Nicole was awarded the Best Actress award for her role in “Babygirl” on the final day of the Venice Film Festival.

“Today, I arrived in Venice and immediately after, I learned that my beautiful and brave mother had just passed away,” Nicole revealed in a statement read by director Halina Reijn when she won. “I was shocked and had to go home to see my family, but this award is for her, she shaped me, guided me and created me.”

“I am so grateful to be able to say her name to all of you through Halina,” Nicole continued in her thank you post. “The collision of life and art is heartbreaking, and my heart is broken. We love you all.”

A week later, Nicole broke her silence and released a heartbreaking statement on Instagram along with several never-before-seen photos of her mother. In her post, the “Perfect Couple” star thanked the millions of fans and supporters who expressed their condolences to her family.

“My sister and I and my family want to thank you for the outpouring of love and kindness we have felt this week,” Nicole wrote in the statement. “Every message we have received from those who loved and admired our Mom means more to us than we can express. Our family thanks you for respecting our privacy.”

Nicole pursued her passion for acting as a teenager and was supported by both parents as she rose to international fame.
