Travis Kelce slams helmet as Patrick Mahomes forced to ‘run for his life’ in Eagles grudge match

Travis Kelce was VISIBLY upset early in the Chiefs game.

Later, he couldn’t haul in a pass from Patrick Mahomes and the Philadelphia Eagles intercepted it and ended up scoring on that possession.

What could’ve been a 17-13 Chiefs lead in the 4th quarter ended up becoming a 20-10 Eagles lead

ravis Kelce was fired up, and he made sure everyone knew it.

Why have Kansas City Chiefs struggled to find a replacement for Tyreek Hill and a new No. 1 WR for Patrick Mahomes?
After Patrick Mahomes scrambled for a 13-yard rushing touchdown to give the Chiefs an early lead over the Eagles in the Super Bowl LIX rematch, the star tight end seemed visibly bothered.

The cameras panned to Kelce after Mahomes’ touchdown run, and he looked to be losing his cool on the sideline towards his teammates and head coach.

“I’m sick of this s—,” Kelce said, appearing to direct the comment at Andy Reid and a few Chiefs players.

It was unclear why exactly Kelce was upset in that moment, but the same could not be said for what would shortly follow.

Dak Prescott makes instant history and eclipses Tom Brady feat in overtime Cowboys win

As the rest of the country scrambled to get the game on television, the Chiefs were trying their best to avenge last year’s Super Bowl defeat, but the result ultimately ended up the same.

Another loss. 20-17. Not quite as bad as 40-22, but a loss nonetheless.

However, as for what transpired in the second half, Kelce may have to look inward.

With the Chiefs trailing 13-10, what looked like a go-ahead touchdown pass from Mahomes to Kelce slipped through the tight end’s hands and into the waiting arms of Eagles safety Andrew Mukuba.

Kelce was about to cross the goal line when the ball slipped through his hands, allowing Mukuba to grab it and take off in the opposite direction.

If not for Kansas City right tackle Josh Simmons reaching 18.35 mph to chase down Mukuba, the Philadelphia defender would have coasted into the end zone.

It was the third-highest speed topped by an offensive lineman in the last two seasons.

However, Jalen Hurts would lead the Philly offense down the field anyway and tush-push themselves into the end zone to steal a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter.

What looked to be a 17-13 KC lead, was quickly a 20-10 Philly lead.

It was a game-changing, 14-point swing that Kelce surely won’t be happy with himself for.

After the game, Mahomes took responsibility for Kelce’s error.

“I threw it a tad too early,” Mahomes told reporters. “If I could put it on his body, he can catch it, take the hit and get into the end zone
