Jon Bon Jovi is livin’ on more than a prayer — he’s living on soul. The Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation ‘s mission to “break the cycle of povery, hunger, and homelessness” has made a huge impact on the world, and the most recent example is really amazing.

The Foundation has run Soul Kitchens and contributed to tons of efforts for affordable housing for vulnerable populations, which is where their recent massive donation ended up as well.
The Foundation donated a massive half a million dollars towards building an apartment complex for homeless veterans.

“Often times, [veterans] left to deal with PTSD, and the issue of coming back to the workplace after leaving the battlefield…” Jon explained on CNN’s The Lead With Jake Tapper.
“Life as you knew it is going to be different, and sometimes, people need that extra help.”

This project has been a decade in the making with the support of the charity HELP USA, which also focuses on helping fight homelessness in the United States.
The facility will also provide different programs to help assist veterans in readjusting to life back stateside.
