Abderrahim Ouhida, a young Real Madrid supporter from Morocco, lost his parents, grandfather and two of his siblings in the 2023 Morocco earthquake.
Ouhida was captured wearing a Real Madrid kit on TV after the earthquake, and the club quickly took notice of it.
He was invited to Madrid, watched the UEFA Champions League match against OL Marseille, got a tour of the Santiago Bernabéu, met the players, received a kit signed by the full squad and now did the kick of honor in their LaLiga match against Espanyol.
The young Real Madrid fan, who lost his family in the 2023 earthquake in Morocco, was honoured at the Bernabéu before the Real Madrid vs. Espanyol match.

Abderrahim Ouhida took the ceremonial kick-off for Real Madrid vs. Espanyol at the Bernabéu. The 16-year-old Moroccan lost his parents, two sisters and grandfather in the devastating earthquake that struck his country in September 2023. His tragic story moved the world and this week he was able to fulfil one of his dreams: to visit the Bernabéu.
On Tuesday, he watched the Champions League match against Olympique de Marseille live and then met and had his photo taken with his idols. He also visited Real Madrid City and the Bernabéu. These unforgettable days culminated in the most exciting moment: the ceremonial kick-off of the match against Espanyol.
