Henry Cavill Makes Bold Declaration About Taylor Swift
The ‘Argylle’ actor has a strong opinion when it comes to the ‘Cruel Summer’ songstress.
It appears that Henry Cavill is the latest star to have fallen under the Swiftie spell.
The Man of Steel actor admitted in an interview this week that like many of us, he is indeed a Taylor Swift fan—and he even had some strong words of adoration for the “Karma” singer.
While chatting with E! News about his upcoming film, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Cavill, 40, admitted that he’s been a fan of Swift’s for a while now.

“I was never not a Swiftie” the Hollywood heartthrob stated, before calling Swift, 34, simply “magnificent.”
As if Cavill wasn’t already swoon-worthy enough, the confirmation that he’s a Swiftie just makes him all the more lovable.
The “Cruel Summer” songstress came up in the conversation after the interviewer pointed out that Cavill’s new film releases on the same day as Swift’s highly-anticipated studio album, The Tortured Poets Department.
Cavill noted that this new movie marks the “second time” one of his films has been linked to Swift, who was rumored to have secretly authored the book that inspired the film Argylle, in which Cavill starred alongside Bryce Dallas Howard. (That rumor has since been debunked by the film’s director, Matthew Vaughn, as Cavill noted in the interview.)
In addition to Cavill, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare also stars Alan Ritchson, Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Alex Pettyfer, the latter two of whom also appeared in the E! interview with Cavill.
While insisting that releasing the film on the same day Swift’s album comes out was a “deliberate” choice, Tiffin noted that their director, Guy Ritchie, is also a “massive” Swiftie.
“He was super excited about that date,” Cavill added.
