Real Madrid reportedly considering a January move for Trent Alexander-Arnold
Real Madrid have reportedly been planning to sign Liverpool’s right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold on a free transfer next summer. However, Dani Carvajal’s recent serious knee injury has forced the club to reconsider their plans.
With Carvajal sidelined, Madrid might look to move for the 25-year-old in January, instead of waiting until his contract with Liverpool expires. Alexander-Arnold has so far ignored Liverpool’s contract renewal offers.
The right-back’s current deal runs out next summer, which allows Real Madrid to sign a pre-agreement with him in January. Madrid are reportedly keen to strengthen their defence as they aim for both domestic and European success.
Madrid fans are excited about the prospect of having Alexander-Arnold in their ranks, especially as he could provide a boost to the team’s attacking play from the right side.
