Wojciech Szczesny once conceded 6 goals against Barca and called it 'beautiful to watch'

After Marc-Andre Ter Stegen suffered a horrible knee injury last week, Barcelona started looking for a new goalkeeper who could take his place until the end of the season. However, transfer window is now closed, so only free agents are in the conversation.

One of the main candidates of the no.1 spot is Wojciech Szczesny, who retired less than a month ago. However, with Robert Lewandowski playing for Barca, fans think Szczesny could come back from retirement to join the Catalans.

The Polish goalie already has history with Barca. He played five games against them for Roma and Juventus, with one game being particularly notable.

In the Champions League 15/16, Barca completely destroyed AS Roma at Camp Nou, with Szczesny conceding six goals in this game. This is the second-most goals he ever conceded in a single game in his entire career.

Yet, speaking to the media after the match, Wojciech made it clear that there were no hard feelings:

“It was beautiful to watch because we played against a team from another planet. I was in goal playing for Roma, but I appreciated what I saw from Barcelona. They were ridiculously good.

“As hard as it is to lose 6-1, it was beautiful to watch.”
