The IBF female bantamweight champion has called out the UFC icon for a big-money boxing match. The 37 year old is set to return to the ring next month after a year-long break, facing fellow Aussie Avril Mathie on December 9.

However, Bridges, also known as the Blonde Bomber, has her sights set on a crossover boxing bout with MMA’s greatest female pioneer. Rousey, the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion, retired from MMA in 2016.

She then swapped UFC for WWE, making her debut at WrestleMania 34 in 2018 and claiming gold at SummerSlam. The 36 year-old left the company earlier this year, seemingly for good, and now Bridges has taken to social media to call out the Olympic bronze medallist, with an intriguing offer to return to combat sports.

The Aussie, labelled the world’s ‘sexiest boxer’ in some quarters, shared a doctored image of the two squaring off on Instagram captioning it: “Me vs @rondarousey in a Boxing Match what you saying? whats your predictions?”

Sure enough, fans soon weighed in on how a potential boxing match might unfold between them.

One fan dismissed the idea as “pointless”, stating: “Well considering Ronda had some of the worse hands in MMA, it would be pretty pointless”. Another suggested that a boxing match wouldn’t end well for the former UFC champion, commenting: “No. Stop this crossover s***. Anyways, if you have seen Ronda shadow box, you know she can’t throw punches. Ronda will get stomped.”

A third Instagram user commented: “I wish”, while a fourth suggested a different sort of activity for the pair, commenting: “Rather see you 2 in collab on onlyfans “.

If such a fight were to happen, it would be Rousey’s first venture into a boxing ring.
