Lamine Yamal has scored his first goal in the UEFA Champions League to help bring the score to 1-1 in Barcelona’s clash against AS Monaco.

The Blaugrana had a shaky start with Eric Garcia getting sent off in the 10th minute, soon after which the hosts took the lead.

But Yamal showed incredible resolve, collecting Marc Casado’s pass really well before making a darting run into the central area.

He then struck a brilliant shot from outside the box that powered into the bottom corner. In doing so, Yamal has now become the youngest goal-scorer in Champions League history.

The youngest, of course, is his Barca teammate Ansu Fati who set the record in 2019 – at the age of 17 years, 40 days.
