Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace has hit out at the Amy Winehouse biopic Back To Black and claimed it is ‘upsetting’ for the people who were close to the late singer.
The film follows the life of the singer, who tragically died from alcohol poisoning aged just 27 in 2011, and includes some of her darkest moments.
Aisleyne, who attended the UK premiere of the film on Monday night, said that she struggles with the idea of these moments being dramatised for entertainment.
She told Closer magazine: ‘I don’t see why it’s necessary for them to go into so much detail surrounding her struggles. I know that she’s a worldwide legend an icon, and people are intrigued by her life, but she was so much more than that.’
The former Big Brother star, who described Amy has a ‘pure and funny human being’, admitted she ‘doesn’t know why Amy’s dad Mitch has been supporting the film.

‘I truly hope the film gives Mitch some solace, when I found out the project had his backing I assumed it was going to be a really positive ode to Amy and her legacy but now I just don’t know.
‘If it isn’t a fitting tribute to her, I don’t know why he would support it. Maybe it’s cathartic for him. I found writing my biography cathartic, so maybe it’s like that for him. But, for me, knowing the film depicts some of her darker moments is causing a lot of emotions to erupt in me.’
Aisleyne also claimed that she has only recently started listening to Amy’s music again after previously finding it too hard to do so.
The reality personality said she feels that Amy is still always looking after her, because she always cared and listened to her while she was alive.
Despite her insistence that she doesn’t support elements of the film, Aisleyne was pictured on the red carpet at the UK premiere on Monday.
The screening was also attended by Amy’s parents Mitch and Janis.
Mitch allegedly banned Aisleyne from Amy’s funeral apparently because she partied with Amy in the weeks leading up to her death.
He later tweeted that Amy had ‘never mentioned’ Aisleyne. Writing: ‘Aisleyne Hogan? Amy’s friend? Amy never mentioned her to me.’

The pals were pictured on several outings together over the years, after Amy revealed she wanted to meet Aisleyne after seeing her on Big Brother.
After her death, Aisleyne said: ‘We met years ago through a mutual friend. She’d seen me on Big Brother, at my worst, and she wanted to meet me.
‘Our mutual friend set it up. I was very honoured to meet her. When we met, we just clicked straight away and it was a friendship rather than being in awe of her.’
Aisleyne became friends with Amy following the Irish model’s time on the reality TV show in 2006.
The pair had been friends for three years before the Back To Black songstress died having battled drink and drug addiction over the course of five years.
At the time immediately following the songstresses death, the part time model took to ITV’s This Morning to defend herself against allegations she failed to help Amy during her addiction troubles.
She said: ‘The papers are saying the last time I was with her we were drinking. In fact the last time I was with her was in her house, in her kitchen, we were drinking tea and having a girlie gossip as I would with any friend. Just talking about guys.’
Aisleyne told hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford: ‘It’s devastating. I’m heartbroken anyway, losing Amy. I just want her back. But to have this thrown at me, and all the internet hate that I’m getting now.
‘The messages have been just vile and it’s hard because it’s not true. There’s not a scrap of truth in it.’

Aisleyne was also asked if she had spoken to Amy about her battle with drugs and alcohol.
She said: ‘I’ve dealt with addiction in my own family.
‘It’s hard to speak to the person about it. What I will say is, it’s not glamorous it’s not exciting. There are a lot of people suffering from addiction and the first step is to admit it.’
But she insisted Amy had beaten the battle.
‘She got herself completely well and she did the impossible, which was to get clean.
‘I’m just so proud of her for getting past it and overcoming it. She did the impossible as I say and she really did.’
